ORDINANCE 2002/2003 – 2

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE POLICY MANUAL OF THE ST. CHARLES PUBLIC LIBRARY DISTRICT

WHEREAS, The Illinois Public Library District Act, 75 ILCS 16/30-55.5, authorizes the Board of Trustees to enact, amend and rescind ordinances and may make and adopt regulations and resolutions for their own guidance and for the government of the library that are not inconsistent with this Act,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Library Trustees of the St. Charles Public Library District, Kane and DuPage Counties, Illinois, as follows:

Section 1. The following policy is adopted to amend the library policy manual: The Library does not maintain sufficient cash to change bills larger than $20.00.

Section 2. This Ordinance is passed pursuant to statutory authority and the Illinois Public Library District Act.

Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law, and any resolutions or ordinances in conflict therewith are hereby repealed; and should any part of this Ordinance be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall affect only that part of this act specifically covered thereby, and shall not affect any other provisions or parts of this act, but shall be severable therefrom.

PASSED by the Board of Library Trustees of the St. Charles Public Library District, Kane and DuPage counties, Illinois, on the 11th day of September, 2002 by a vote of:

AYES: Shepro, Haines, Huntley, Kriston, Reese
