General Tips and FAQs
You’ll need your St. Charles Public Library card and PIN to access digital services.
The best way to find titles available for immediate download for your device is to do an Advanced Search at eMediaLibrary. Choose your format, fill in as much or little of the form as you wish, and click the box: “Only show titles with copies available.”
You may have 5 titles checked out and 5 titles on hold simultaneously. Titles check out for 7 or 14 days (your choice), and ebooks may be returned early. Early return procedures vary by device. Ask Us!
Titles are returned automatically to the Library, no need to worry about due dates or fines.
There are about 30,000 public domain eBook titles always available for download. You do not need to return these items and they don’t count against the checkout limit. Look for the Always Available icon at eMediaLibrary.
