Baby Owl is exploring the woods by himself, but every animal he encounters fusses over him, gives him a hug, and tells him how cute he is. He thinks that he's a 'huge and scary hunting machine,' but none of the other animals seem to understand that. He insists over and over, 'I'm not cute!' but it doesn't do any good. When he returns home, will his mother say he's cute, too? Or does she know that he's really a fierce owl? For continued adventures with Baby Owl, check out 'I'm Not Scared!'

Eye-popping illustrations show just how big a crocodile's jaw really is or the size of a tooth of a great white shark. Or how small a dwarf goby fish is. Compare your foot with the foot of an African elephant. Additional interesting facts about the animals are at the back of the book.

What are Cat with the fiddle, Cow that jumped over the moon, and Dog that laughed, to do? The Dish has run away with the Spoon and they haven't returned. Their nursery rhyme, Hey Diddle Diddle, can't be read, sung, or told tonight until everyone in the rhyme is present! So Cat, Cow, and Dog go on a search for their missing friends. Their journey through Nursery Land is full of adventure, danger, and humorous verse as they enlist the help of various nursery book characters. All is lost unless they can each use their unique talents to rescue their friends. How would their nursery rhyme sound if instead of 'the dish ran away with the spoon', it ended with 'the little dog bit a baboon'? 'And the Dish Ran Away with the Spoon' by Janet Stevens and Susan Stevens Crommel, is a delightful romp through the land of nursery rhymes.
