Dorso Clayman opened his locker door and a dead body, a very smelly and partially dissected dead body, was hanging inside. Thirty seconds later, it was gone, with only the stink remaining. Someone has been playing jokes on seventh grader Dorso and his friend, Frank, and the jokes are getting more serious. Somehow people from the past are interacting with Dorso and dragging him and Frank back into the past in ever more dangerous situations. Will Dorso and Frank be able to stop these 'Time Hackers' before they destroy the world?

Grandma likes to entertain her grandchildren, twins Lenny and Liz, with time-traveling adventures. The Fourth of July is fast approaching so they will be joining the Boston Tea Party. Grandma has a magic hat and many costumes to help the twins get a firsthand look at colonial life with Ben Reed and his family. Differences in the clothes worn, the use of plumbing, the modes of transportation and how information was communicated are some of the fine points of living in colonial times. Six and seven-year-olds will enjoy having this piece of history read to them and eight-year-olds will be able to read it themselves. The author blends humor and historical detail in this second book of the Time-Traveling Twins series.
