Cheery illustrations fill this book about a bad day that turns into a good one. Follow a group of animals as they experience minor misfortunes (a bird loses her favorite feather, a fox can't find his mother) and as their days improve. Simple and beautifully illustrated, this book shows how even a day that starts out poorly can turn into a wonderful day.

Good Thing You're Not an Octopus!

With cheerful pictures that communicate a gentle tone, this picture book takes the reader through a number of daily tasks that a little boy doesn't enjoy. 'You don't like to get dressed in the morning? It's a good thing you're not an octopus. If you were an octopus, you would have eight legs to put in your pants!' For each task, there is a different animal, such as a shark for the unhappy teeth brusher ('If you were a shark, you could have two hundred teeth to brush!'). Including various routine daily tasks, this tale could be fun to share with a child who is resistant to activities like getting dressed, taking naps, or riding in car seats.
