Gooney Bird Greene needs to be in the center of everything, from her seat in the classroom, to conversations, and of course, in telling 'absolutely true' stories. She is a very unusual girl from a faraway place who wears pajamas and cowboy boots and that is only the beginning of her second grade adventures at Watertower Elementary School. This is the first book about Gooney Bird. Follows her adventures in Gooney Bird and the Room Mother, Gooney the Fabulous, and Gooney Bird is so Absurd.
